Sentosa is a pleasure paradise just off Singapore's main island. Sentosa is connected to the main island via a causeway and you can also get there via cable car. It is a vast underground oceanarium with thousands of exotic and wondrous fresh and salt water creatures. There is a so a Butterfly Park with an adjoining park which offers a chance to have a look at 3,000 or so curious and delightful insects. For those who are interested in history, visit Fort Siloso, which is where the British erected a fort in the late 19th century and later used is a strategic place of defence during the Second World War.

The Sentosa Luge and Skyride is also great fun, and safe for the younger ones. Catch the ski lift up the hill and then speed down in bobsled that's under your own control.
